A writer should never feel restricted, censored, or contained. With that being said, I do feel it's the authors responsibility to write interesting story lines, and provide the reader a high quality material. I believe that people spend too much time thinking about what others will think. Writing solely what other people want to hear. This country guarantees the freedom of speech, a freedom that we are blessed with. In today's society it is hard to get to the point where you can say something like "that's good enough for me, which makes it good enough". Our country runs on the theory just because it's good enough now doesn't mean it can't be improved, but I think in poetry's case that's not always true.
