Ammar's workshop poem

Ammar Elmahdy

I have committed a crime,
When I was in my prime.
I killed a man,
Packed him up in my van.
No one caught me for a while.
I felt invincible .
But eventually the guilt compiled.

I went to the sheriff's office,
I made sure to be cautious.
I confessed my wrong doing.
Told them I had killed a human being.
I was instantly convicted of the crime,

Now I’m rightfully doing the time.
